About Trackprofiler

My name is Tomo Krajina. I'm the author, owner and developer of this site. Other than programming I'm a housband and father. I enjoy hiking, mountain- and road- biking and playing Go/Weiqi.

I live in Višnjan, a small town (population cca 600) in Croatia (by the way, Višnjan is one of the world's most important discovery sites for the small bodies in the Solar System).

Trackprofiler is a project I started many years ago. At the time it was a standalone application that was able to load only OziExplorer files, draw elevation graphs and make some basic smoothing transformations on them. I needed a place to store (and share) tracks so I decided to create a site -- and this is the result.

Having a project like Trackprofiler is a time consuming task. Storing all the tracks and hosting the application on GoogleAppEngine is not free. If you use and like Trackprofiler -- consider becoming a premium user.

Note that part of the work done on trackprofiler is open source and available for free to anybody.
